Measure yourself and find the row your measurements fall into — not the size printed in your last garment. Between two rows: take the larger one for close cuts (shirts, polos, denim), the smaller one for wide cuts (hoodies, coats).
Measure yourself in two minutes
Tape horizontally around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms. Snug, not pulled tight. Arms relaxed.
Around the narrowest part of the torso, roughly at the navel. Breathe normally and do not pull your stomach in — otherwise the waistband sits too tight later.
Around the widest part of the seat, feet together. The more important of the two numbers for jeans and trousers.
Measure in the evening, when feet are largest: stand on a sheet of paper, mark heel and longest toe, measure the distance. Measure both feet and take the larger value.
